Battle Standard
A battle standard would act the same way as a cape, have the same patterns and symbols, but it would be mounted on your back via some kind of pole. If you don't know what a battle standard looks like, it is the thing Samurai would wear on their backs to show what lord they fought for. A Guild would have to pay for the ability to own both a battle standard as well as a cape. I think it would give a nice feel to GW, plus they'd look good on Warriors!

I found a picture. I know its a little cheesy, but notice the thing on his back. Thats what I mean.

Oh, I think they are called "Battle Flags" ?
Its those things that the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War soldiers carry on their back.
They plant it onto the ground when they are capturing a strategic point.

That Picture is AWSOME!
yes, people have been asking for Battle Standard for long time. It can come in two varity, one the side way (like the samurai) or frontal (like in warhammer).
Remember the Bib? I say bring them back too!

Ok, I thought they were called Battle Standards.

Actually, I don't know what they are called.
Inside my head, I refer them as "Battle Flags" however.

My god, that's a freaking awesome idea! With the chaos of 12v12, having identifiers would be great. Generic Red or Blue for randomly created teams, and ones with a Guild/Alliance Symbol for created groups.

I think the samurai style standard would fit the canthan asian team way better than capes would, actually.

Battle standards were used in ancient European wars also. However they differed in that a person had to carry the flag by hand,So if you were going to do it id say follow the asian way on the back, otherwise you would have to equip the flag as a weopon(although maybe monk could carry)

No one want the bib back?
Also what about not as a cloth, but a sheild-like thing that you can carry on your back. (tad bit like a turtle or beetle)
Or a sash that is wrap around your shoulder or your waist? Lots varities.
(also a special sheild that have your guild sig on it would be nice too)

No! No bibs...oh it was terrible...I actually quit the guild I was in to get rid of that thing...
But I would not be opposed to a Battle Standard. I might actually turn my cape on if it was a Battle Standard instead. Personally, I just like playing without anything on my back so I can see my armor, but if there was an alternative to the cape, maybe the Battle Standard, then I might actually turn it back on.

I like that idea, but I think each should have to be individually paid for and designed by the Guild, not buy one get rest free. Also, could someone explain what this bib thing is? I guess I wasn't around to see it. Maybe a picture?

Battle standards would be cool. But for 12v12? I dunno, things get messy and hard to see enough around central points.
